University of Nebraska-Lincoln researchers attached GPS tracking units to wild turkeys as part of a new project to help with turkey conservation in Nebraska.

Lincoln, Neb. – A new article from Outdoor Life examines the recent declines in wild turkeys across the Midwest. Several states have started new studies in hopes of determining information critical to support healthy wild turkey populations, including Nebraska. The AWESM Lab at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in collaboration with the Nebraska Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit, University of Georgia, and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is a part of Nebraska's latest research effort.
