Lauren Balcom joined the AWESM Lab in 2026 as an undergraduate student intern. She is studying Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communication with a minor in the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship program. Growing up ranching in the mountains of Wyoming instilled in Balcom a mission to steward the land, livestock, and wildlife. As a part of the AWESM Lab social media team, she will work to provide interesting, accessible, and pertinent information to advocate for sustainable agriculture and environmental sciences. In her free time, she loves working cattle with her family, country swing dancing, and indulging in entirely far too much coffee. She is devoted to serving her community, the land, and the Lord above all else.
