Madi Hein - Undergraduate Student

Madi joined the Applied Wildlife Ecology & Spatial Movement (AWESM) lab in the Spring of 2023 as a Cabela’s Apprenticeship Undergraduate student. She is currently working on her degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Fishery and Wildlife whilst getting a minor in Animal Science.

She joined the Wild Turkey Ecology in Western Nebraska project due to a high interest in population management of native species. Her long-term goal is to understand and implement strategies that help conserve populations for future generations to enjoy.

Madi will continue her studies with the University of Nebraska Lincoln and graduate with a bachelors in 2025. After, she has plans to continue her studies at Iowa State University with their Veterinarian Medicine program.
